The LT-02 Leak Tester is ideal for identifying gross leaks in flexible packaging. By immersing the test sample in water and applying a vacuum, even the smallest leaks become visible as air bubbles escape from the compromised areas of the package. This technique is highly effective for ensuring package integrity, especially in cost-effective or sustainable packaging alternatives, and helps optimize production line sealing parameters.

The system comprises a precision-engineered mainframe and a robust vacuum chamber. During the test, the sample is submerged in water within the vacuum chamber. Using a Venturi vacuum ejector, the air above the water is evacuated, creating a significant pressure differential between the interior and exterior of the sample. This pressure difference forces any trapped air to escape from leaks, which can be visually identified as air bubbles. The test provides a highly sensitive method for detecting even minute leaks, ensuring precise and reliable assessments of package integrity.
